INTERWOVEN

Interwoven is a trauma-conscious and Black-Queer-owned business located on Ute, Cheyenne, and Shoshone land now known as denver, co.

Inspired by my diverse and intersectional identities, Interwoven intends to reveal how things that appear to be separate are truly intertwined. We practice and facilitate Yoga experiences that support our community’s effort to decolonize and re-indigenize ourselves. We reflect on how touch and bodywork are more related to fiber and garments than we may recognize on the surface. After all, nothing touches us more than the clothing we choose to wear each day.

We aim to empower community members to feel confident, complex, and cared for through a variety of services rooted in collective liberation.

with love and liberation, Jackie

New Community Offering

May 26th, 4p-7p
(in-person) at the Denver Tool Library

Hand-Dipped Beewax Candle Class

Come learn how to make dipped beeswax candles! We will go over the basics of how to handle and care for beeswax, prepare wick for dipping, and the general techniques on how to build up the body of the candle. Dipped candles differ from poured candles in that the beeswax is layered over and over upon itself to create a stronger structure, similar to the growth of a tree in rings. Beginners are welcome!

In addition to process and technique, we will learn a bit about the history of candles, our human relationship to bees, and the uses of beeswax. We’ll focus on building tall tapers and twisted candles.

Interweave Yourself

A couple of times a month, we’ll check in with you via email about what’s up in the community!
